DESIRE, SCI-FI AND POP MUSIC COLLIDE AS SR.SOYA LAUNCHES INTERDIMENSIONS WITH “SEXO INTERESTELAR”

The first-anniversary release premieres August 18 through a vertical Instagram excerpt and a full YouTube performance.

SANTIAGO, CHILE — On August 18 at 10:00 p.m. Chile time, Chilean pop artist Sr.Soya will premiere Sexo Interestelar, a digital music performance that expands the song of the same name on its first anniversary. A vertical excerpt will debut on Instagram, the complete performance will be available on YouTube, and the track will remain accessible across streaming platforms.

The piece is conceived as the first public opening of Interdimensions, the creative universe Sr.Soya is building around his music. Pop, dance, electronic textures and alternative reggaeton meet a visual language of portals, transmissions, crystal surfaces and Y2K science fiction. Rather than simply illustrating a song, the performance uses the artist’s body, voice and movement as the mechanism that activates a larger narrative world.

Sexo Interestelar begins with a familiar feeling: the sense that you may not fully belong on this planet. It turns that alienation into a signal for connection. Science fiction becomes a way to speak about desire, identity and belonging through a queer Latin American sensibility, while mystical eroticism and choreography give the work the immediate energy of pop performance made for a personal screen.

“PROPOSED QUOTE — SR.SOYA APPROVED: ‘I did not want the anniversary to look backward. Sexo Interestelar needed to mutate, open a door and reveal that the song belongs to a much larger world. This performance is the first transmission from that place,’” the artist says.

The delivered audiovisual master runs approximately five minutes and was produced in a vertical and horizontal format. The pre-release campaign is organized around SEÑAL 18, or SIGNAL 18: a sequence of visual and sonic fragments that gradually reveals the artist, the music and the portal. A principal 20-second trailer arrives August 8, introducing Sr.Soya as a Chilean pop artist before announcing the performance and its premiere date.

The release both celebrates one year of Sexo Interestelar and establishes a starting point for future pieces within Interdimensions. SR.SOYA ABRE INTERDIMENSIONS CON LA PERFORMANCE DIGITAL “SEXO INTERESTELAR”

El artista pop chileno celebrará el primer aniversario de la canción con un estreno vertical en Instagram y una versión completa en YouTube el 18 de agosto.

SANTIAGO, CHILE — Sr.Soya estrenará el 18 de agosto, a las 22:00 horas de Chile, Sexo Interestelar, una performance musical digital que expande la canción del mismo nombre y marca su primer aniversario. El lanzamiento se presentará mediante un extracto vertical en Instagram y una versión completa en YouTube, mientras la canción estará disponible en plataformas de streaming.

La pieza funciona como la primera apertura pública de Interdimensiones, el universo creativo que Sr.Soya construye alrededor de su música. En ese espacio, el pop, la danza, la electrónica y el reggaetón alternativo se cruzan con una imaginería de portales, transmisión, cristal y ciencia ficción Y2K. La propuesta no busca ilustrar literalmente una canción: convierte el cuerpo y la interpretación en el mecanismo que activa una nueva dimensión narrativa.

Sexo Interestelar parte de una pregunta reconocible —qué ocurre cuando una persona siente que no pertenece por completo a este planeta— y la transforma en una señal de encuentro. El proyecto utiliza el lenguaje de la ciencia ficción para hablar de deseo, identidad y pertenencia desde una sensibilidad queer latinoamericana. La estética futurista convive con un erotismo místico y con la energía directa de una performance pop pensada para ser vista desde una pantalla personal.

CITA PROPUESTA — APROBADO DE SR.SOYA: ‘Quise que el aniversario no fuera una mirada hacia atrás. Sexo Interestelar tenía que mutar, abrir una puerta y mostrar que esta canción pertenece a un mundo más grande. La performance es la primera transmisión desde ese lugar’”, señala el artista.

El material audiovisual entregado tiene una duración aproximada de cinco minutos y fue producido en formato vertical. La campaña previa se articula bajo el concepto SEÑAL 18: una serie de fragmentos visuales y sonoros que revelan progresivamente al artista, la música y el portal. El tráiler principal se publicará el 8 de agosto y condensará en veinte segundos la identidad de Sr.Soya, el carácter musical de la obra y la cita del estreno.

El lanzamiento celebra un año de Sexo Interestelar, pero también establece el punto de partida para futuras piezas de Interdimensiones.
